Penobscot

Penobscot Bay is one of Maine's most picturesque bays, and surrounds its coastal land and islands. When I lived on Deer Isle, I used to take long walks along deserted shores, looking at the sea grass and the patterns carved by the flow of the water. During low tide, the mounds of grass were exposed briefly with their frozen patterns winding around high and low points. Different colors converged, and then receded back into the bay.
